In this arrangement of a familiar melody, the piano sets the stage for a cheerful, assured sound world, and continues solo piano accompaniment throughout the first stanza. The refrain is then omitted, and the piano builds for instruments to join in on the second stanza. The repeat uses the second half of the original introduction as the second half of the transition material. The piano builds in a written key change, and all voices and instruments play at fortissimo on “I’m so glad I learned to trust Him.” All instruments, including piano, will tacit for the final refrain, as congregation lifts their voices, giving opportunity for the voices to sing in harmony.
