Nothing But the Blood

This setting of the familiar text to the PLAINFIELD tune will be very easy and comforting to your church congregation. The piano opens with a 2-bar intro and voices enter with solo piano until m. 10 on the refrain where the instruments join in. A repeat is then offered for stanza 2, and a refreshing and uplifting key change is scored for the third stanza, where the treble clef instruments handle the first 10 bars, and the bass clef instruments join in for thh refrain. Instruments double the piano for a beautiful key change into E-flat for the final (fourth) stanza, and the upper-range instruments play a lovely obbligato line above the melody.
