Leaning on the Everlasting Arms

This particular arrangement was taken from an unplanned, yet memorable, moment in our worship service, when the director and pianist had not outlined music for the instrumentalists. That particular day as the congregation sang, it seemed that the whole church was on the same page theologically and artistically; by the time we reached the final refrain, accompanists were not needed, so the pianist built the dynamics into the refrain and then dropped out as the singers lifted their voices.
